Serves: 4 cocktails
Recipe type: Drinks
Cuisine: Spanish
  • ½ medium apple, unpeeled and diced medium (any flavorful, colorful variety will do)
  • ½ small lemon, unpeeled and diced medium. Take the pips out with the tip of a small knife.
  • ½ lime, unpeeled and diced medium
  • ½ small orange, unpeeled and diced medium
  • ¼ cup halved red seedless grapes
  • 2 cups red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz or any other red wine you like)
  • 6 ounces brandy
  • 3 ounces triple sec (orange liqueur)
  1. Add all the prepared fruits to the pitcher.
  2. Add the wine, brandy and triple sec. Stir once.
  3. Cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate for couple of hours to infuse all the flavors. Do not add ice. Adding ice before serving waters down the flavors as it melts.
  4. When ready to serve Use a slotted spoon to transfer some of the fruit from the pitcher to each glass, then add 3-4 ice cubes and pour the sangria. ENJOY!
This sangria is FANTASTIC but it has a strong alcohol kick, and it really should come with a warning label! So here it is: For milder drinks add 3-4 ounces of chilled Sprite to each glass at the same time that you’re adding the ice cubes.
